Amy Harrington, Partner

Amy Harrington is a highly regarded trusts and estates attorney, recognized for her expertise in probate, trust administration, conservatorships, and fiduciary services. She has been selected as a Super Lawyer since 2024 and is ranked in Chambers and Partners in the USA Spotlight category for her excellence in trusts and estates law.

Amy earned her Juris Doctor from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law (now UC Law San Francisco) in 2005, after graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Sociology from the University of California, Davis in 1998. During her academic career, she was awarded multiple scholarships for academic achievement and public service.

Since 2005, Amy has focused her practice primarily on trusts and estates law and fiduciary services including estate administration, partition of real property and receiverships. She is highly experienced in probate of wills, trust administration, estate planning, conservatorships, and will and trust contests. She is frequently appointed by California courts as a partition referee, receiver, trustee, and administrator, and also serves as court-appointed counsel for conservatees in San Francisco and Sonoma Counties.

In addition to her legal practice, Amy contributes as a writer, editor, and lecturer for Continuing Education of the Bar (CEB), a University of California program supporting legal education across the state. She is a member of the California State Bar, the San Francisco Bar Association, and the Sonoma County Bar Association, and is licensed to practice in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.

Earlier in her career, Amy worked with the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), advocating for improved patient care and better wages and working conditions for low wage healthcare workers in Northern California hospitals. She also served as field director for several successful political campaigns in San Francisco and Sacramento.

A native San Franciscan, Amy now lives in Sonoma with her husband and their corgi. She has two adult daughters, one attending Northwestern University and the other a recent graduate of Columbia University.  She splits her time between the firm’s San Francisco and Sonoma offices. Amy is fluent in Spanish. In her spare time she enjoys running, cycling, swimming, playing piano, and community service. She is the former Mayor of Sonoma, where she remains an active advocate for her community.

Susan S. Kim, Attorney

Susan Kim focuses her practice on the areas of guardianships, estate planning, and probate and trust litigation. Susan received her Juris Doctor from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 2005, and Bachelor of Arts in Integrative Biology from the University of California, Berkeley in 1998. She is fluent in Korean.

Over the course of her legal career, Susan has represented clients in matters involving complex toxic tort liability, premises liability, and general personal injury litigation.

Deeply committed to pro bono work, Susan volunteers extensively with the San Francisco Bar Association’s Justice and Diversity Center (“JDC”), focusing on family law and guardianship matters. She has been recognized as an outstanding volunteer by the JDC in 2015, 2016, and 2020.

Susan is a mother of two girls. In her spare time, she enjoys running, playing tennis, playing piano, and reading.

 

Phoebe Gould, Senior Paralegal

Phoebe has practiced as a paralegal in New York and California since 2018. She has specialized in trust and estate, estate planning, partition, and receivership matters and has particular expertise in reviewing and preparing fiduciary accountings. As a Notary Public, she notarizes most estate plans and other documents signed at the Sonoma office. She is a Licensed Private Professional Fiduciary and can offer a trusted option when an independent fiduciary is needed.

Phoebe is a New Jersey native and has spent time in Massachusetts and Georgia. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Williams College. Before transitioning to legal work, she taught English to recent immigrants. Outside of the office, Phoebe enjoys creative writing, live theater, baseball, fitness, and travel.

John R. Massey, Paralegal

John has worked at Harrington Law, P.C. since 2023 and became a Paralegal in July 2025. He has worked on numerous probate actions and offers specific knowledge in preventing foreclosures of real property. His work has primarily focused on probate and trust administrations and conservatorships.  In May 2022, he graduated Cum Laude from Sonoma State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics & Political Science.  John received his Master of Legal Studies Cum Laude from Empire College School of Law in June 2024 and will graduate with his J.D. in May 2026. 

John was raised in the rural town of Gustine, California and holds his small town roots near and dear to his heart. In his free time, John likes to stay active by going bowling, hiking, playing basketball, and lifting weights.

Jordan Anichini

Jordan began working at Harrington Law in early 2026. Since then, she has provided assistance with probate and conservatorship cases. In 2024, she graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, with a Bachelor of Arts in English. She plans on applying to law school within the next few years. Jordan is from San Diego, and likes to spend her weekends outdoors. In her free time, Jordan enjoys reading, writing, crocheting, and attending concerts.
