Amy Harrington, Partner

Amy Harrington received her Juris Doctor from University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 2005. She graduated in 1998 from the University of California, Davis with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Sociology. She has received numerous academic scholarships and been recognized professionally throughout her academic and legal career. She is a member of the California State Bar and is licensed to practice in the United States District Court of California.  She is an active member of the California State and San Francisco Bar Associations. In addition to her law practice, Amy is a writer, editor, and lecturer for Continuing Education of the Bar (CEB). CEB is a self-supporting non-profit program of the University of California founded in 1947 to educate veterans returning to the practice of law after service in World War II. They continue to focus on serving the just and fair practice of law in California today. She also serves as court appointed counsel for conservatee’s in San Francisco and Sonoma Counties. Since 2005, Amy has focused on all aspects of Trust and Estates law. She is highly experienced in the probate of wills, administration of trusts, conservatorship of adults, estate planning, will &trust contests. Amy also regularly serves as a partition referee in matters involving the contested division of co-owned real property.

Prior to the practice of law, Amy Harrington worked with the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) to improve patient care, working conditions and wages of healthcare workers in Northern California hospitals.  She was also field director for several successful political campaigns in San Francisco and Sacramento, California.

Amy Harrington is a mother of two and a native San Franciscan. She now resides in the beautiful town of Sonoma, California. Amy splits her time between the San Francisco and Sonoma offices. She is fluent in Spanish.

In her free time, she enjoys running, cycling, and spending time with her family and her two dogs. She is the former Mayor of the town of Sonoma and is passionate about community service.

Susan S. Kim, Attorney

Susan Kim focuses her practice on the areas of guardianships, estate planning, and probate and trust litigation. Susan received her Juris Doctor from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 2005, and Bachelor of Arts in Integrative Biology from the University of California, Berkeley in 1998. She is fluent in Korean.

Over the course of her legal career, Susan has represented clients in matters involving complex toxic tort liability, premises liability, and general personal injury litigation.

Deeply committed to pro bono work, Susan volunteers extensively with the San Francisco Bar Association’s Justice and Diversity Center (“JDC”), focusing on family law and guardianship matters. She has been recognized as an outstanding volunteer by the JDC in 2015, 2016, and 2020.

Susan is a mother of two girls. In her spare time, she enjoys running, playing tennis, playing piano, and reading.

Phoebe Gould, Paralegal

Phoebe has worked as a trust and estates paralegal in New York and California since 2018. Phoebe is a New Jersey native. She is a graduate of Williams College and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. Prior to that she worked as an English teacher for recent immigrants. In her spare time Phoebe enjoys writing, live theater, baseball and travel.

John R. Massey, Law Clerk

John was born and raised in Gustine, California. In May 2022, he graduated from Sonoma State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics & Political Science. John is currently attending Empire College where he is pursuing his Juris Doctor and Master of Legal Studies. John received his MLS in June 2024 and will graduate with his J.D. 2026.

In his free time, John likes to stay active by going bowling, playing basketball, and lifting weights.
